Betty Gail Kidd, age 75, of Summertown, TN passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her residence. She was a native of Giles County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah Mae Landtroop Ezell; one brother, W.T. “Dudley” Ezell; two sisters, Sue Troup and Dorothy Boston; and one great-granddaughter, Lucy Mae Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, Gaylon Kidd of Summertown, TN; one son, David Fleeman of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Sonya Evans of Fayetteville, TN; one sister, Sybil White of Lawrenceburg, TN; one brother, Jerry Ezell of Murfreesboro, TN; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Immanuel Baptist Church at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, with Reggie Coleman officiating. Mrs. Kidd will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
