Graveside services for Betty Childers Pugh, 92, were held at Mt. Zion Cemetery on November 10, 2024. Cullman Heritage Funeral Home facilitated the service.
Mrs. Pugh passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024.
Betty was born July 11, 1932 in rural Marshall County. She was a 1st grade teacher for many years at Vinemont. After retiring, she poured herself into volunteering for many groups. Her main goal in life was to bring as many people to the Lord as she could. Betty was especially proud of the songs and poetry she wrote, which were published in her book Beneath His Sheltering Wings.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings, as well as her husband (Frank) and two of her beloved sons (Joel and Timothy). She is survived by her son Jeff Pugh (Gina). She is also survived by her grandchildren Amber Gentry, Brandi McKinney, Krista Debruhl, and Michael Pugh, as well as their respective spouses. Mrs. Pugh also had 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other special people in her life.
The family would like to thank, on Mrs. Pugh’s behalf, the special ladies at Westminster Assisted Living, for their compassionate care for the last 5 years.
