Betty Carolyn Carter Holland Betty Carolyn Carter Holland, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at NMMC, Tupelo, MS. Betty’s life and her world view were guided by her long-held faith in God and in salvation through His Son, Jesus. She served her family faithfully with patience, love, and generosity. She enjoyed active church attendance and was a highly regarded friend to many people. Betty was a woman of character who steadfastly demonstrated resourcefulness, determination, humility, and wisdom. She was a cheerful and skilled homemaker who exhibited true diligence and hospitality. She was a big fan of music, particularly of gospel, and of classic oldies. She studied the Bible and enjoyed gardening, antiques, literature, and classic films. Betty was a woman of virtue whose legacy will endure.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Benita L. Talmadge (Carrick); her sons, Corey R. Holland (Christy), Derek J. Holland, and Brody Holland; her 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and her sister, June Carter Callahan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Isabel Carter; her sister, Robbie Hansen; and her husband, Earnest J. “Jody” Holland.

Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2024, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc from 10AM-12PM and at Immanuel Baptist Church in Pontotoc from 1PM-2PM. The service will be at 2PM at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Frank Wilder officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Carter Holland, Cassidy Webb, Caelan Talmadge, Will Connors, William Jaggers, and Thomas Patrick.
