Mrs. Betty Brownell Higginson, age 93, of Arab, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
Mrs. Higginson was born on August 10, 1927, in Fall River, Massachusetts, to the late Clarence L. Brownell and Hazel E. Grundy Brownell. She was a worked at home taking care of her family. She was a member of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Guntersville. She enjoyed painting, cooking, spending time with her family, and her travels all over the world. In her younger days she enjoyed playing golf.
Mrs. Higginson is survived by her sons, Leonard, E Higginson, Jr. (Rebecca Stebie), Mark L. Higginson (Julie Parish); grandchildren, Lindsey Higginson, Morgan Condra (Luke), Paige Higginson (Clay Weaver), John Higginson (Andrea), Madison Gibbs, Gavin Green; great grandchild, Ronan Condra.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Higginson is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Earl Higginson, Sr.; son, John Warren Higginson; sisters, Louise Twitchell, Carolyn Solamon.
