Funeral service for Betty B. George, 81, of Eva, will be Monday, September 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Chapel with The Rev. Albert Dean Estes officiating and Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Etha Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m at the funeral home.
Mrs. George died on September 19, 2013, at her residence. She was born on September 26, 1931, in Leeds to the late Alex Bearden and the late Ada Mae Bearden. She was a housewife. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-in-law, Hubert Rainey and Arthur Hannah.
She is survived by her husband, James George; son, Robert (Denise) Chapmen; three sisters, Mae Bell Hannah, Clara Bee Rainey, and Mary Alice (Olin) McCartney; two brothers, Alex (Lorraine) Bearden and Phillip Bragg; a host of nieces and nephews; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
