Betty Anne Patton Gray of Huntsville passed away Thursday. Born in Northport, Alabama, Mrs. Gray earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Alabama and began her career as a second grade school teacher in Warrington, Florida. In 1968 she moved to Huntsville where she taught for several years at Lincoln School.

Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband James L. Gray. She leaves behind a sister, Margaret Patton Williamson of Northport, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, one being her name sake; Natalie Anne Barton Joiner of Hoover, Al. She also leaves behind her dear friends Mary Yeager and Carolyne Mattox.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday in the Garden Room at Mayfair Church of Christ. The service will follow at 11:00, Rev. Joe Essner officiating. Burial will be Saturday at 4:00 pm at Williamson Cemetery in Northport, AL.
