Graveside Services for Mrs. Betty Ann Moore Smith, age 85 of Barfield, were held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Barfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. John Howell officiating.
Mrs. Smith passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Lineville Health and Rehab. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she worked in the medical field and was a member of Barfield Baptist Church. She also taught the Joyful Learners Sunday School class at her church.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, George “Ed” Smith of Barfield; two daughters: Debbie Smith King (Allen) of Hoover and Pam Smith Bailey (Gary) of Loxley; one son, Robert Steve Smith (Nancy) of Richmond, VA; one sister, Martha Moore Stanford (Harold) of Barfield; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John Wesley Moore and Mazie Gregg Moore; and her brother, John Coleman Moore and his wife Margaret.
Active Pallbearers will be Ryan King, Don Buckhannan, Danial Smith, Ken Smith, David Randal Smith, and Mark Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen Smith, Larry Buckhannan, Wayne Smith, and the Joyful Learners Sunday School Class.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of arrangements.
