She was a strong lady who loved the Lord. It is because of her relationship with Him that we know she is in a better place today.
Betty was born June 13, 1936 in Sturgis, MS. Upon graduating from Sturgis High School, Betty moved to Washington D.C. It was in Washington D.C. she met the love of her life, Charles L. Brown. They married in 1958 and spent many happy years together.
Throughout their marriage they lived and travelled all over the world before returning to Starkville to raise their family. Betty often said the time they spent in the service was some of the happiest years of her life. She loved traveling and people.
Betty leaves behind her sons, Chuck (Leah) Brown and Greg (Vickie) Brown, granddaughters, Dana Brown, Laura (Daniel) Forde, Amanda (Parker) Jacobs, Rebecca Brown, and Kelly (Jake) Thompson, along with one great grandson, Jack Jacobs. Betty is also survived by five loving brothers and sisters.
