Betsy Jane “Janie” Howard, age 72, of Cherokee, died Sunday, November 12, 2023. A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Mynot Cemetery. Eric Davis will officiate.
Janie was born on May 29, 1951, to the late James “Red” and Betty Miller Williams. She was a longtime volunteer for the Cherokee Rescue Squad. Janie was preceded in death by her husband Neal Howard and daughter, Anna Jean Howard.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Howard Copeland, and her grandsons, Dakota Copeland and Gunnar Copeland.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
