Betsey Lee Williams Whitt, 46, Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2023, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Highland Park Church of Christ. The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Austin Johnson officiating.
Betsey was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ. Her creative spirit was a gift that blessed many. Betsey shared her gift by volunteering at the local school, sharing her creations at Heaven’s To Betsey and decorating for many family and friends. She loved to travel and explore but the beach was her special place. She was always at home with the sand, the sea and her family by her side. Her great love was for her family.
Betsey is survived by her husband, Jesse R. Whitt; children, Jolee C. Whitt, Jackson C. Whitt and Brandon J. Whitt; sister, Susan S. Williams; and many family and friends.
Because of Betsey’s love for, and dedication toward, helping schoolchildren, the family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to G.W. Trenholm Primary School, 601 Joe Wheeler Drive, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.
