Funeral service for Bethel Acton Worley, 84, will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Worley died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at NHC Healthcare. He was born September 19, 1933, in Etowah County to Robert Dennis Worley and MaryWilla Walker Worley. Bethel and Shelby were married for 61 years. He served for four years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was employed by the State of Alabama for the Public Safety Department for 32 years, prior to retiring. He attended West Hartselle Baptist Church. Mr. Worley was a loving husband, devoted father to his four children and a wonderful grandfather/PaPa to his grandchildren. He was a huge Alabama Football fan and enjoyed watching the games with his family. Family members preceding him were; his parents and two sisters: Marion Worley Dutton and Johnnie Lee Worley Pierce.
