Bethany Norris Bishop of Huntsville, AL, passed from this life on 12/21/24 after a four years-long battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Bethany was born to Keith and Kathy Norris on August 19, 1974. She graduated from Vinemont High School in 1992, then received a bachelors degree from the University of Alabama in 1996. Later, she was awarded a masters degree from the University of Montevallo in 2012. She was a family and consumer sciences teacher until retiring due to illness. Bethany was a life-long student and never stopped learning.
In 2014, Bethany married James Bishop. Between them are six children they lovingly called the Bishop-Back Bunch. Avery Holsomback, Emma Rubin (Jacob), Anna Holsomback, Briana Bishop Templeton (Matthew), Michael Bishop (Sydney), and Andrew Bishop (Haley). She was the adoring “BB” of Charlotte Bishop aged 3 years and Turner Bishop 16 months. Bethany is also survived by her mother, Kathy Norris, sister Amy Graham (Jody), and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bethany was preceded in death by her father, Keith Norris.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am till 12:00pm at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospitality Apartments in Houston, TX where they were graciously hosted for two months while Bethany underwent radiation treatment.
