Beth C. Riley, 53, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was surrounded by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Kerry Patrick Riley; brothers, Laurence Cothran Carmichael, M.D., Gilbert Russell Cleveland Jr. and, Archibald Hill Carmichael IV; as well as her fur babies, Mongo, Howard, Taggart, and Gabby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Archibald Hill Carmichael III and Ann Cothran Carmichael, and her stepmother, Jean Pigford Carmichael.
In life, Beth will be remembered for her keen wit, her fanatical love of college football (Roll Tide), as a connoisseur of Dr. Pepper, white cheddar Cheetos, and all things Little Debbie, but most of all for her unwavering loyalty and support for those she loved. In death, she will be remembered as someone who chose to give new life to others by being an organ donor.
The life of Beth C. Riley will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Hamilton Funeral Home (4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, TN 37343). Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. (EST) with a short memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. (EST). Family and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Cancer Society in Chattanooga or McKamey Animal Center.
