Bessie “Maxine” Canerdy

Maxine Canerdy Bessie “Maxine” Canerdy, 83, passed away June 11, 2024 at the Church Street Manor in Ecru.  She was a lifelong resident of Pontotoc County.  She was a Christian lady who loved her family dearly.  She would help anybody anyway she could.  She loved to garden and her flowers.  She worked for the public for years and sat with the elderly as well.  She had a heart of gold and is healed with Jesus now.  She will be greatly missed.
Services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, June 14, 2024 at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Hartwell Tutor Cemetery.  Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors, children, Jimmy Canerdy (Anita) of Randolph, Genera Gilliam (Jimmy) of Ingomar and Melissa Benjamin (Kevin) of Hurricane; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Powellette Swanson; brother, Ladale Swanson; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by, mother, Magdalene Swanson; father, Powell Swanson; son, Carlton Canerdy; brother, Eugene Swanson and a sister, Wondalene Dodson.
Pallbearers, Shane Vance, Shawn Vance, Ben Canerdy, Dustin Benjamin, Wyatt Harpole and Cannon Edwards.
Visitation, 5-8pm Thursday, June 13, 2024 and 1:00pm until service time Friday, June 14, 2024.
