Bessie Bee Davis Cupples age 94, passed away April 10, 2022 at her home.
She was born March 20, 1928 on the family farm, on Wilson School Road and had made her home their all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Barry Sanders and Mary Etta Jones Davis. She married Henry Cupples in 1948. Mr. Cupples was a carpenter and home builder and Mrs. Cupples worked a few years at Big John’s Bar-B-Que at Magic Valley and at the Electric Grill for Red and Odessa Austin. She was very active in the Pleasant Springs Methodist Church, serving on the church board and as Sunday school teacher for many years.
She loved gardening, quilting and cooking. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and loved to fish.
Mrs. Cupples is survived by two sons, Larry Cupples of Henderson and Ricky Cupples and wife Tina of Henderson; a daughter, Kathy Ward and husband Victor of Henderson; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Cupples, a son, Bobby Cupples (1993), four sisters, a twin sister, Lessie Davis, Syrina Louise Davis, Lexi Kilzer and Ethel Morrison and three brothers, Harvey Davis, Robert Davis and James Davis.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 14th at Pleasant Springs Methodist Church with Josh Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday and 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday at the church.
