Bertha Mae Wehunt, 70, of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023. She was born February 2, 1953 to the late R.B. and Martha Mae Jackson. She retired from Lowe’s and was a member of Rainsville Community Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. David Cofield officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.
She is survived by her children Jimmy Wehunt, Melissa Allen (Chris), Teressa Godshall (William), Susan Helms (Michael), Kimberly Williams (Kenny); grandchildren Larry Eugene Williams II (Savannah), Dallas James Godshall (Alex), Abby Grace Godshall, Samantha Elizabeth Helms, Jamie Reagan Helms, and Kaileigh Anneliese Wehunt; great-grandchildren Bennett, Kyleigh, Lucas, Owen, and Baylor; and brother Glenn Jackson (Brenda).
She was preceded in death by her husband James Wehunt and siblings Leroy Jackson and Ethel Williams.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
