Bertha Darby Biniecki Profile Photo Bertha Mae (Danley) Biniecki, 84, of Bloomington formerly of Winamac passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

She was born on December 24, 1938 in Greenhill, Alabama the daughter of Preston and Flora (Gooch) Danley. Bertha attended Rogers High School in Greenville, Alabama.

She married Tom Biniecki on July 16, 2001 in Lake County, Indiana they were happily married for twenty-two years.

Bertha worked as a packing operator for Commercial Wallpaper in Hammond, Indiana for over 30 years before retiring.

She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her family. They were her life. Bertha enjoyed traveling, country music, Alabama football “Role Tide”, and visiting with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Bertha is survived by her husband, Tom Biniecki of Winamac; her daughters, Vicki (Mark) Ruzity of Bloomington; Becky Darby of Holbert; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her brother, Harold Danley of Florence, AL; and several nieces; nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Flora Danley; her daughter Sheila Smith; son, Jeff Darby; two sisters, Helen Hines and Nadine Danley; four brothers, Walter Danley; Malcom Danley; Earl Danley and Ed Danley.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the Shackelford Funeral Directors: 993 TN 13 Collinwood, TN. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to service time Monday also at the funeral home.
