Bertha Lee Paulsen, 83 of Athens, Alabama died on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at her home.
Born Friday, August 12, 1932 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Bunyon and Rosezetty Mitchell. She was a member of Ardmore Church of Christ and loved to garden, go to the Ardmore Senior Center, and worship at her church. She took great joy spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Martin Paulsen, a brother: Frank Mitchell, a sister: Exie Chaput, and a great-granddaughter: Kaylee Paulsen.
Surviving are sons, Don (Linda) Paulsen of Moore, OK and Randy Paulsen of Streamwood, IL, daughters, Brenda (Bob) Chambers of Streamwood, IL and Nancy (Rajive) Jhaveri of Morganton, NC, brothers, Gordon (Jan) Mitchell of Athens, AL, David (Peggy) Mitchell of Athens, AL, Larry (Laverne) Mitchell of Ardmore, AL, Joe (Penny) Mitchell of Ardmore, AL and Charlie (Chris) Mitchell of Ardmore, AL, sisters, Rosemary (Jerry) Poole of Fayetteville, TN, Emmie Layne of Taft, TN, Dorothy (Matt) Muskenski of Dallas, TX and Polly Hastings of Ardmore, AL, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Douglas Eubanks officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
