Mr. Berry L. King Funeral service for Mr. Berry Lee King, formerly of Huntsville, Alabama, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from Crumbey Primitive Baptist Church (444 58th Street, Fairfield, AL 35064). Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery (600 Martin Luther King Drive SW Birmingham, Alabama 35211).

Public viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 1:00-7:00 P.M. from the Bushelon Funeral Home, Inc. (800 14th Street SW, Birmingham, Alabama 35211).

Berry Lee King was born in Madison County, Alabama on February 7, 1941 to the late James and Mary King. He departed
this life at his home on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 9:41 am.
Berry was preceded in death by his three brothers: John, Robert and Charlie King; and three sisters: Estella Gordon, Bessie King and Gracie Love.

Berry enjoyed playing the piano and organ, and watching football and westerns. Berry was once member of 2 bands (The Invaders and The Comets) in the early 1970s and played a Hammond B3 Organ and was called “Bo Dollar”. From what has been told, Berry was a beast on the organ. His professional career consisted of 35 plus years with Strain Construction as a Construction Supervisor and 30 years as a Maintenance Engineer at Rime Village.

Berry united with Patricia Dobyne in Holy Matrimony on June 19, 1989.

Those that are left to cherish his memory are his wife: Patricia King; daughters: Sharon King and Valeria King Lewis (Gerald); bonus daughter: Dr Amber Dobyne-Turk (Yohance); two grandchildren: Greg Pope and Avery Turk; one brother: Roy Lee King; three sister-in-laws: Cora King, Lillian Adams, and Vanessa Bondurant; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
