Berry Ann Youree, age 83, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Laughlin Youree; parents, Edward and Eliza Moore; and sister, Brenda Jane Johnson.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Gill and her husband James, Charlotte Peay and her husband Joey, Cheryl Yager and her husband Edward, Carla Bush and her husband Matthew; grandchildren, Elizabeth Jaworski and her husband Peter, Emily Gill, Madilyn Jarman and her husband Cody, Natalie Long and her husband Thomas, Zachary Peay, Carolyn Peay, Julie Bush, and Josie Bush; great granddaughter, Toni Diane Jarman; sister, Linda Hogg and her husband Leon; niece, Jackie Gibson and Shannon Hutcherson; nephews, Jay Johnson and his wife Lori, Jon Johnson and his husband Josh Laniz; and many other family and friends.
Berry Ann was a 1958 graduate of Kittrell High School. She grew up attending Wards Grove Baptist Church and was most recently a member of Cripple Creek Presbyterian Church. She was a long-term Farm Bureau member, a member of the Tennessee State Button Club, 4-H volunteer leader, and long-time member of Home Demonstration Club, now known as the Family Community Education Club. Berry Ann was a mom to all and took pride in advocating for the care of the most vulnerable in the community, children and the elderly. She will be remembered for being the most kind, doting, loving, and generous mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel from 3:00-7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Cripple Creek Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Zachary Peay, Cody Jarman, Thomas Long, Peter Jaworski, Jay Johnson, and Jon Johnson serving as pallbearers. Jim Rust and Robert Peay will serve as honorary pallbearers.
