Bernice Eulene Wester, 82, formerly from Hackleburg, born Monday, Oct. 12, 1931, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was known as “Miss Bea” and loved all sports, especially Alabama football. She loved to cook teacakes and pies for family, friends, and firefighters. She was also an avid supporter of St Jude’s.
The visitation will be noon- 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Bobby James officiating. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Ricky Kennedy (wife, Janet) and Joseph Medina (wife, Judy); daughter, Debra Mitchell; grandchildren, Huston Kennedy (Chelsea), Anna Lane Kennedy, Kathryn Kennedy, Jodi Short (Ryan), and Joey Kennedy (Jill); great-grandchildren, Logan Short and Claudia, Nathan, Levi, and Max Kennedy; sister, Mae Lynn Gann (Doug); and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wester, parents, Floyd and Mattie Wilson, brother, Edward Wilson, and son-in law, Rodger Mitchell.
