Berl Reed Burbank, 90, of Florence, passed away December 17, 2023, at his residence. He was retired from Graves Plating Company after 30 plus years. Mr. Burbank was a Korean War Army Veteran.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 12-2:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Church of Christ. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the burial in Pine Hill cemetery. Officiating will be Larry Burbank.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Erma Burbank; his wife of 55 years, Anita Joyce Burbank; three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Burbank is survived by sons Freddie Fell (Shelia) and Steve Fell (Freda); daughters, Lee Ann Hester (Jim), Melissa Burbank, Christine Parrish (Mike), and Betty Lou Yerby; brothers, Jackie Burbank and Larry Burbank (Mavis); sisters, Patricia Thompson and Tonda Tyon (Greg); fifteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Berl was papaw to every child that came to his house. He was always happiest outside and never felt right if he didn’t have something growing. He always stayed busy mowing grass and working in the yard until the end.
Pallbearers will be Michael Parrish, Douglas Pennington, Jerry Wright, Steven Bustos, Levi Fell, and Memphis Parrish.
