Benton “Ben” Harold Cartee, 93, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. He was born on February 19, 1931 in Courtland, Alabama to the late John and Flora Cartee. Ben proudly served his country in the US Army where he retired from active duty in 1972. After retirement, Ben worked as an auto mechanic for a good 10 years before retiring again. He never stopped working on cars and helping others with their tinkering. He loved watching all the old Westerns and would watch so many times he knew what was going to happen before it happened. Ben told some of the very best jokes – always had friends and family smiling and laughing.
Left to cherish Ben’s memory are his three daughters, Debbie Cartee, Stephanie Parker (JD), and Rebecca Stewart (Jimmy); grandchildren, Krysta Parker (Brian), Haley Arbogast (Jake), Kieanna Logsdon, and Emma Stewart; nephews, Butch Cartee (Cindy) and Russell Cartee (Robin), many great nieces and nephews, extended family, and great friends.

His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Beulah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. before the service.
