Lifelong area resident Benny Richard Park died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was 70. Born to Richard Park and Vernell Franks on Nov. 12, 1948 in Tupelo, he was a farm man who worked at Park Farms and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on lawnmowers. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and pets, including his dogs Buddy and Missy.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Faye Edwards Park; his son, Robert Dillard of Pontotoc, and daughters Billie Elizabeth Gann of Nettleton, and Teresa Franklin of Plantersville; his sister, Judy Miller of Pontotoc; grandchildren Haley Marie Duke, Ace Sebastian Bocaranda, Lindsey Dillard, Casey Dillard, Anthony Franklin, and Grant Franklin; and great-grandchild Carmen Rose Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Mack Park; and his sister, Barbara Brown.
Services will be private to the family.
