Benny Ray Pounders, 66, of Tuscumbia, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee. The funeral will immediately follow with Paul Haley officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery.
Benny was preceded in death by his father, Billy Fountain; and brothers, Ricky, Jackie, and Steve Pounders. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Plunkett; daughter, Chasity Pounders (Scotty); mother, Jody Fountain; and brothers, Larry Pounders, and Gary Pounders.
Benny worked at Rogers Group for 47 years as a frontend loader. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
