Benny Dewayne Henley Parker, age 57 passed away January 25, 2023 at his home in Lexington.
He was born February 10, 1966 in Chester County, the son of Rosie Laura Henley and the late Johnny Riley Parker. He grew up in and attended school in Chester County.
He worked in Masonry construction with his family, he also did production work at Leroy-Somer in Lexington. He retired in June 2018 due to health problems.
He was married to Carol Jane Maness for nineteen years and they made their home in Lexington.
He enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with his family.
He was a loving and caring husband, daddy, brother, Paw Paw, uncle and had a very good heart.
He was a Baptist in faith.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Carol Jane Parker of Lexington; his mother, Rosie Laura Henley of Houston, TX; two sons, Tim Elvington (Lenzi) of Henderson and Jeremy Wallace of Lexington; a daughter, Jessica Diane Parker of Henderson; six grandchildren, Timothy Elvington, Lily Pollock, Kassidy Pollock, Allie Elvington, Lincoln Elvington and Gracie Elvington; one sister, Diane McCormick of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Riley Parker and a brother, Robert Odell Parker.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 28th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Miles Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
