Ben Lee of Anniston, AL passed on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Mr. Lee passed away after a courageous battle with amyotrophic sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease). A celebration of life service for Ben Lee (62), of Anniston, will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home in Anniston, AL. Mr. Lee was born in Birmingham, AL on June 16, 1961, he was the son of the late Chester and Elizabeth Lee. Ben was a graduate of Walter Wellborn High School, Class of 1979, and was a die-hard panther fan until his passing. He also loved Auburn football. He held numerous jobs over his lifetime dating back to when he was just 14 years old, but his longest employment was Alabama Power Company, where he held various positions.
He and his wife, Patricia Lee, celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary on November 3, 2023.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Travis Sparks; brother, Chester “Red” Lee, Jr.; and sister, Linda Standridge.
Surviving, in addition, to his wife Pat, are his children, LaDonna Ray (Shannon) and Anelizabeth Davidson (Nick); grandchildren, Hayden Reynolds, Hadleigh Davidson, Lucas Davidson, and Marleigh Davidson; brother, Robert (Bobby) Lee (Karma); sister, Jackie Forte (Joseph). Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family ask that donations be made to the ALS Association.
