Belton Oby Tidwell, age 86 of Pineywoods, was called home on Sunday, July 2, 2017.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at New Hope Cemetery. Nelson Kimberly will officiate.
Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by his Mother and Father-Cadmus and Dovie Tidwell; Wife of 62 years-Pauline M. Tidwell; Son-Von Tidwell; Daughter-Susan Tidwell; Sisters-Hazel and Ludy Banks.
Belton had 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He is survived by his Granddaughters-Rebecca Jay (Adam) of Empire and Lindsey Mullinax (Lee) of Jasper;Grandson-Jason Bland (Crystal) of Jasper; Great Grandchildren-Lainie, Lena, Hadley, MKenna, Jayden and Baylon.
Belton was a member of Dilworth Church of God. He had two very special friends, Ray Tidwell and Teddy Bailey.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bland, Adam Jay, Jayden Bland, Lee Mullinax, Ray Tidwell and Teddy Bailey.
