Mr. Bedford Lee Lovelady, 92, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away peacefully in the company of his family on May 24, 2024.
He was born to S. Frank Lovelady and Blanche Parton Lovelady in Fackler, Alabama on March 14, 1932.
Bedford attended Stevenson High School and joined the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged on May 22,,1954, as a Staff Sargent . He also received letters of meritorious service from his commanding officers.
Mr. Lovelady was married Lina Holder Lovelady while he was in the Air Force where they returned to Scottsboro to begin their life together.
Bedford was a successful business man with business ventures that included an accounting practice, a farming operation, a tractor dealership and an RV Park.
He was an avid fan of the University of Alabama Football. He also enjoyed dancing and traveling in his motor home.
Bedford is survived by a son, Charles Benny Lovelady; daughter in law, Susan Perkins Lovelady; grandsons, Charles Kelley Lovelady and Stuart Sevier Lovelady.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lina Holder Lovelady; siblings, Cobb, Sidney, Edna and Robert.
