We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bebe Faye Heasley Packard, 75, of Huntsville, AL. On Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, Bebe lost her battle against lung cancer. The world was blessed when she was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on May 23rd, 1949. Bebe resided most of her life in Huntsville, Alabama after moving around the world during her father’s time in the U.S. Air Force.

She leaves to cherish her memory; son, Stephen Packard; granddaughters, Elizabeth Packard and Kalana Packard; and a niece Victoria Leigh Vaughn. Predeceased who wait for her; mother, Mildred Victoria Martin Heasley; father Lyle Eugene Heasley; brothers James “Jimmy” Heasley and Lyle “Schatze” Heasley Jr.

Bebe was a passionate reader and enjoyed finding books at thrift stores. She spent many sunny days outside, running through books like hotcakes. She often boasted that she had read over a thousand books after retirement. You could always count on her to partake in a good chat on the phone, and for good food always to come from her hands. She valued a day out filled with shopping and eating, followed by more online shopping, and only an eighth of it was for her liking. She was vibrant, and exceeded the limits of what one might expect a 75 year old to be. No words can put into summary of how beautifully generous her heart was, even her chuckle was generous enough to make your laugh appear too.

Bebe left an incredible mark of love on many. Her passing is felt by her entire family and countless friends. She represented a light of kindness and goodness that will proudly be carried on. Those who came to know Bebe unintentionally gained one of the best grandmothers or friends anyone could ask for.

Her family will be holding a private memorial, per her wishes.
