Bea Barber, age 85, passed away on Thursday, September 12 2024 at her residence in Decatur, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church, formerly known as Point Mallard Parkway Baptist Church, with Bro. J.D. Thorne and Bro. Raymond Bishop officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Mrs. Barber will be laid to rest in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur, Alabama following the service.
Mrs. Barber was born in Bel Mina, Alabama on June 23, 1939 to Ira Eugene and Willie Caroline Fortenberry Tucker. She was the Owner/Operator of her own wall paper store by trade. She was the longest-living member of Antioch Baptist Church. She lived life to the fullest and found joy in spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy “Fuzzy” Barber; brothers and sisters; sons-in-law, Danny McCutcheon and Chris Morgenthaler; and grandson, Blaine McCutcheon.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Morgenthaler; son, Donnie Barber (Chan); four grandchildren, Brandon McCutcheon (Olivia), Brooklyn Alexander (Kyle), Jameson Barber (Brittany), and Chandler Barber; two great-grandchildren, Jacob McCutcheon and Caroline Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made In Memory of Bea Barber to Hospice of the Valley.
Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
