Barry Wayne Lauster, 47, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at his home in Huntsville. Mr. Lauster was born in Seymour, IN. He is survived by his mother Barbara Elmore-Lauster Scott and stepfather Gene Scott; daughter Scarlett Williams of Tupelo, MS; son Corey Wayne Lauster of Germany; step-sister Lara Staggs; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special uncle Tim Johnson of Elkmont, several coworkers and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father Wayne Lauster and his grandparents.
Barry spent 12 years in the U.S. Army serving in Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Korea. He was a graphic artist in the army doing maps, designing unit T-Shirts, billboards and murals. He was also a fighter in the war and proud of it. Sargent Lauster was a brave American. He was an electrician.
His visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home from 10 to 11 am with his funeral service following at 11 am. Dr. George Cobb will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Hampton Cove Cemetery. Donations may be sent to Redstone Federal for his daughter Scarlett Williams as a scholarship fund.
