Barry Lee Wilson – Obituary

barryBarry Lee Wilson passed away October 16th after a 5-year battle with cancer. Barry was born in Tacoma Park, Maryland but spent most of his life in Madison, Alabama. He was a devoted husband and father with a passion for making people laugh and volunteering in the local community through the Madison Rotary Club. He loved being involved in his son Jackson’s life and helping kids as a Cub Scout leader, little league baseball coach, and Bob Jones High School cross-country booster club president. He was an avid fan of flying, travelling with his family, Alabama football and classic cars. Barry graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a BS degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He had a 31-year career with Intergraph Corporation in Madison, Alabama, where he most recently served as Technical Director. Barry is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cyndi Wilson; their son Jackson Wilson (Danica); his parents Ed and Dorothy Wilson of Arab, Alabama; a brother, Keith Wilson of Seattle, Washington; and two dogs he loved dearly, Coco and Zoe. Receiving of friends will be Monday, October 19th from 2:30 -4:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 980 Hughes Road, Madison, AL. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
