Barry James Kimble, 55, resident of Walnut, passed away following an extended illness on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Visitation will be from 10AM until 11AM on Friday, July 14, 2023 in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Tippah County.
Born January 18, 1968 in Southaven, MS, he was the son of the late Samuel and Dorothy Davis Kimble. Mr. Kimble received his education in the Desoto County School System. He was a self employed carpenter as long as his health allowed.
A Christian, he will be remembered for his large personality and sense of humor, especially to his grand kids that learned they could never take him serious. While his kids were growing up, they can remember spending time outdoors with him, fishing, playing with animals on his farm and playing in the tree house he built. Mr. Kimble was a lover of classic rock music and survival TV shows. You could find him telling his family that if he was on there, he would “win”. He became known by all that knew him as “Barry Barry Nice”.
Those left to cherish his memories include two daughters, Kayla Haack (Tammy Jeanes) and Amanda Kimble (Justin Nelson) both of Walnut, one son, Brandon Kimble of Walnut, one sister, Kimberly Kimble, two brothers, John Kimble, Greg Kimble, nine grandchildren, Emmery, Reese and Isaac Haack, Weston, Lincoln, August, Ian and Charlie Brown, Brantley Kimble and his special canine, Blue.
Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with the Kimble family.
