Mr. Barney Watson, age 76, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Briarwood Community Living Center. He was born January 25, 1948, to the late Hugh and Elba Clenny Watson in Scotts Hill, Tennessee. Mr. Watson was a retired employee of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Mr. Watson is survived by a brother, Dennis Watson of Bruceton (Lifecare Center); a nephew, Coe Watson; a niece, Kristen Watson of Lexington; and an aunt, Melba Long of Jackson.
Funeral services for Mr. Watson are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Henderson County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
