Barbara “Nana Banana” Jean Sharp, age 84, of Florence passed away on November 12, 2024. Visitation and graveside services will be held privately on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, with David Matthews officiating. Williams Funeral Home in charge. A public memorial will be held at a future date.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Era May Stubblefield.
Barbara was a beloved mother and grandmother and is survived by her two daughters: Marsha Carter (Bob) and Angela Thigpen (Mike). Four grandchildren: Adam Matthews (Courtney), Grace Carter, Taylor White (Tyler) and Rachel Carter. Five great-grandchildren: Greyson, Leni, Maylee, Madelyn, and Elsie.
Barbara grew up at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. In her younger years she enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and tennis. She was an avid Alabama football fan.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses that cared for her.
