Barbara Jean Strahm, age 61 of Decherd, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 21, 1961, to the late Warren and Delores (Gavink) Wangerin. Barbara liked to fish, crafting, and baking for her family. Her happy place was at the beach spending time with her family. She will be remembered as loving and caring sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Patty McGongil. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years, Greg Strahm; two sons, Chris (Karen) Strahm and Matt Strahm; grandchildren, Bryan Strahm, Jaden Semich, McKenzee Hales, Asher Strahm, and Matilyn Strahm; beloved fur babies, Roscoe, Marley, Goose and Callie the cat. siblings, Jim (Stephanie) Wangerin, Bobby Wangerin, Kathy Wangeri, Sandy (Denny) Horner and Bill (Danielle) Wangerin; best friend, Sahra Gilliam; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Celebrant Scot Bradford officiating.
