Barbara Jean Piper age 86 of Huntsville died Sunday at her Daughters residence in Arab.
Mrs. Piper was born June 15, 1936 in California, she was retired from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. Mrs. Piper had many things she loved to do, going to the beach was one along with any work for her church, Huntsville Park Baptist Church of which she was a member. She loved her family especially her Grandkids and Great Grandkids. Mrs. Piper was a question asker, and on many occasions was notorious for locking her keys in her car.
Graveside service will be 2 pm Friday at Roselawn Cemetery with Mylon Metcalf officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12 noon – 1:30 pm at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be, Brian Etu, Christopher Squires, Chad Piper, Al Pollard, Tommy Coblentz Jr. and Daniel Coblentz.
Survivors include, Daughter, Michelle (Brad) Walker of Arab. Son, Michael Piper of Scottsdale, Arizona. Brother, Tommy (Marcella) Coblentz Sr. of Athens. Grandchildren, Lindsay Walker, Kendal (Brian) Etu, Lauren (Christopher) Squires and Chad (Amy) Piper. She was also survived by five Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Piper was preceded in death by her Parents, Dan and Bessie Coblentz. Sisters, Betty (Roger) Manning. Joan (Alan) Greenwald. Beverly Coblentz. Brother, Danny Coblentz.
