Barbara Jean Carroll, 71 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at her home.
Born Friday, December 1, 1944 in Elkmont, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Dison and the late Bessie Lee Hargrove Dison. She was a member of Hays Mill Church of Christ and was a lifelong resident of the Elkmont area. She enjoyed flowers, fishing and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Bobby Carroll.
Surviving are sons, Johnny (Cindy) Boyd of Pulaski, TN, and Paul (Christy) Boyd of Florence, AL, daughter, Renee (Tim) Johns of Goodspring, TN, brothers, Larry (Judy) Dison of Elkmont, AL and David (Linda) Dison of Elkmont, AL, sisters, Betty (Robert) Emerson of Elkmont, AL, Ruth (Gerald) Mitchell of Elkmont, AL, Gail (Billy) Thomas of Elkmont, AL, Patricia (Maridon) Mullins of Fayetteville, TN, Dean (Delmer) Perry of Elkmont, AL, Vickie (Dennis) Byford of Summerville, AL and Gina (Steve) Johnson of Elkmont, AL, 7 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
