Barbara Inez Smith age 75, of Arab passed away Monday Nov. 21, 2022, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice Facility in Albertville. Barbara was born on Dec. 9, 1946, in Jefferson County, AL the daughter of Ernest and Lillie Barron Gooch. She was a graduate of Minor High School and retired from Tyson. She was married to Donny “Pete” Smith who passed away on March 24, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Ernest Lee, Butch, Edward and Louise and daughter in law: Lisa Stewart. Survivors include: Children: Jamie Stewart and Shannon Stewart (Jerome Humphryes); grandchildren: Nikki (Zach) Gibbs, Austin (Brandy) Hawkins, Jesse Hawkins, Brian Fenley; great grandchilden: Eli and Addison; siblings: Patricia Manley, Virginia Lynn, Brenda Whitten, Francis Pickle, Donnie Gooch and Roger Gooch.
Funeral Service will be Friday Nov. 25, 2022, at 1 PM at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Roswell Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM.
