Barbara Hazel Dobbs Batie ,80, of Albertville, AL passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 6,2020 at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. Mike Ford and Anthony Batie will officiate. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chad Benefield, Matthew Benefield, Benjamin Lang, Daniel Williams, Terry Bayless, Brian Beckles, Jim Hardin. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Boyd Batie, mother, Fleda Campbell Dobbs , father, Homer Lee Dobbs SR , sister, Virginia Clack (Glendon), brothers, Baby Dobbs, Homer Lee Dobbs JR, Paul Dobbs. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Benefield of Albertville, AL, Elizabeth Sparks (Phillip) of Albertville, AL, son, James “Anthony” Batie (Laurie) of Snead, AL, sisters, Wanda Bayless of Albertville, AL, Letha Dobbs of Albertville, AL, brothers, Danny Dobbs (Cathy) of Loganville, GA, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
