Barbara Gail Upton, 67 of Town Creek Alabama, formerly Brashiers Chapel Community, Arab Alabama, died Wednesday – June 15, 2016 at Lawrence Medical Center in Lawrence County, Alabama.
She was born on June 24, 1948 in Marshall County Alabama, to James Paul Daniel & Ruth Posey Daniel. She worked as a housekeeper. She loved gardening, cooking, family, friends and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She moved from Arab to Town Creek in 2009. Her husband, Bennie Joe Upton preceded her in death on January 5, 1997.
Mrs. Upton was a member of The Bridge Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons: Joseph Scott Upton (Linda), Stephen Craig Upton (Robin); daughter: Kimberly Rose Aron (Marlon); fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother: James William “Willie” Daniel; sisters: Jane Abercrombie, Sandy Simmons, and Angela Snyder (Charles). She was preceded in death by her parents: James Paul Daniel & Ruth Posey Jones and her husband: Bennie Joe Upton.
Funeral service will be – 2:00 p.m. – Saturday – June 18, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Roger Boswell officiating. The family elected cremation following the service. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. – Saturday June 18, 2016 prior to the service.
