Barbara Christine Finley Weathers, just 4 days before her 90th birthday, received the promises of her faith and met her Master from The Meadows in Fulton on Tuesday, where she had resided the last six months. Born in Memphis, TN on April 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert Finley and Johnnie Faye Smith Finley. She graduated High School in St. Louis, MO and shortly thereafter, met and married Karrie W. Weathers. Barbara spent the bulk of her life as a housewife and homemaker where she diligently took care of her husband and children throughout life and was a quiet, moving and powerful influence on her family and greater community. A patriotic American devoted to the goodness of mankind, she loved art and painting, flower arranging especially for church and special events, supporting her community, being completely devoted to her family and being a faithful member of Auburn Baptist Church.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Bro. Bert Harper officiating. Visitation will be from 1 PM-service time Sat. only at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place in Eggville Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed 2 PM Saturday at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Live-streaming and will be archived thereafter.

Barbara is survived by her children, Julie Watson (Woody) of Golden, Steve Weathers of Eggville and Mark “Winky” Weathers (Roxy) of Tupelo; her grandchildren, Leanna Hill (Todd), Brittiany Weathers, Luke Weathers (Wendy), Emily Weathers, Tyler Weathers (Meagan), Erin Tullos (Adam), Hannah Treece (Nick) and Katie Weathers Gazaway (Mason); her great-grandchildren, Finley, Mary Michael, Bennett, Karrington, Kiersten, Landry, Everett, Elliot, Sophie, and Dawson She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Karrie, her granddaughter, Sophie, and a brother, Robert (Bud) Finley.

Pallbearers will be Tyler and Luke Weathers, Nick Treece, Adam Tullos, Todd Hill, and Mason Gazaway. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Weathers, Todd Weathers, Mike Robertson, and Perry Franks
