Barbara (Bobbie) Bell Turner departed this life on April 9, 2015 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 years. She was born on September 23, 1937 in Bogalusa, Louisiana, daughter to the late Walter F. and Armindia A. Barnett Bell. She was united in marriage to Carrol Lee Turner on June 24, 1975. who survives.
Bobbie was employed as a school bus driver for Shelby county. In addition to living in Enville for the past seven years, she also lived in Bogalusa, Louisiana, Denham Springs, Louisiana, and also Bartlett, Tennessee for 23 years. She was a member of Christ Temple Church in Saltillo, Tennessee.
Mrs. Turner enjoyed crocheting, cooking, but specifically loved making homemade biscuits. She also liked traveling, dancing, and riding motorcycles, and she loved going to church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ann Antoon and her husband, Mitch, of St. Gabriel, Louisiana, and Julia Soto and her husband, Luis, of Dallas, Georgia; siblings, Donna Byrd of Bogalusa, Louisiana and Kenneth Bell of Bogalusa, Louisiana; grandchildren, Melanie Belue, Angelica Morrell, Sherae Alleman, Renee Knoblock, and Amber Yopp; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kathy Nell Knotts; brother, Stanley Bell; sister-in-law, Henrietta Bell; brother-in-law, J. B. Byrd; and grandchild, Luis Soto, Jr.; and great-grandchild, Jordan Morrell.
