Barbara B. Higdon, age 71, of Summertown, TN passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at her residence. She was a native of Wayne County, TN, retired Timekeeper with Murray Ohio, she loved reading and animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Eugene and Nevada Pearl Beatty Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Higdon of Summertown, TN; one step-son, Wade Higdon of Center, TN; two step-grandsons, Eric Higdon of Huntsville, AL and Chris Higdon of Summertown, TN; one sister, Beverly Philpot (Cliff) of Lawrenceburg, TN; three nieces, Star King (Bronson) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ann Paley of Ethridge, TN, and Cynthia Anne Brown of CO; three great-nieces, Brianna Snider, Kaylee Vanetten (Tony), and Kinley King; and one great-nephew, Clay Hardy.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2025, with Kent McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
