Barbara Ann Taylor passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2023, at the age of 78. She was born on May 31, 1945, in Selmer, TN.
Barbara was a devoted wife to her late husband, Grady Taylor, whom she married on September 14, 1962. Mr. Taylor preceded her in death on June 5, 2017.
Barbara was a member of the Ramer Presbyterian Church in Ramer, Tennessee. She dedicated herself to providing care as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for many years.
In addition to her professional pursuits and spiritual life, Barbara had a passion for the outdoors. She loved hunting and fishing, and was one of the best. One of her favorite pastimes included playing bluegrass music with the Midway Bluegrass Band.
However busy she may have been with work and hobbies, Barbara always made time for her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending quality time with her loved ones and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Eloise Hopkins McDaniel; a daughter, Staci Thomas; three grandchildren: Zachary Thomas and wife Carrie, Jackson Thomas and fiance Britton Hood, Sophia Thomas; three sisters: Shirley Frye and husband Terry, Sandra Hall and husband Tommy, Regina Burkeens; a brother, Alton Causey and wife Eva; other close family, Marlin Taylor, Mike Taylor, Rocky McCullar, Keith Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Lee Wilbanks; and a brother, Wayne Wilbanks.
