Barbara Ann Riggs, 72, died Friday, June 9, 2017 at her home. She was born July 11, 1944 in Lee County to James Alex and Maggie Inez Warren. Barbara worked for many years as a seamstress at C & W Embroidery, Prentiss Manufacturing, Reeds Manufacturing, and Blue Bell. She loved sewing and also enjoyed reading, coloring, singing and listening to music. Barbara was a devoted member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. She loved her family and church family who will miss her dearly.
Services will be 11 AM Monday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Calvin Warren and Jeremy Wise officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Tildon but will no graveside service will be held. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Chandra Riggs Trexler (Andrew) of Tupelo; one granddaughter, Cristan Trexler of Tupelo; her brothers and sisters, Jame Warren (Edna) of Saltillo, Calvin Warren (Betty) of Tupelo, Mavis Harville of Big Sandy, TN, Nancy Cooper (Ricky) of Oxford, Ray Warren (Sandy) of Tupelo, Morris Warren (Lisa) of Tupelo, Dan Warren (Jackie) of Tupelo; Arlis Warren (Patty) of Pontotoc; and Debra Pettus (Maurice) of Ocean Springs; 2 brothers-in-law, Billy Riggs (Mavis) of Nettleton and Jimmy Riggs (Elaine) of Mooreville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Glen Riggs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Primitive Baptist Church or the Sanctuary Hospice House.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday and 10-11 am Monday. Family and friends are welcome to share condolences and memories on this guest registry.
