Mrs. Barbara Ann Pitts, age 70, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Monday, May 03, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 06, 2021 at 7:00pm at Collier-Butler Chapel.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. She attended Gadsden High School and was employed at SDM Electric. Barbara was an avid Alabama Fan. She enjoyed camping, tailgating in Tuscaloosa, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, B.W. and Sarah Witcher; brother Claude (Bunky) Witcher.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of almost 54 years, Tommy Pitts; son, Dr. Darryl Pitts; daughter, Jenny Pitts; grandson, Griffin Pitts, and granddaughter, Kacey Watts; brother, Billy (Very Special Sister-in-Law Virginia) Witcher; sister, Kathy (Frankie) Riddlespur; chosen sister Debbie (Ken) Lowe and chosen grandson Coleman Scales; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:30 pm until 7:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
