Barbara Ann Nelson, 86, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away on January 3rd, 2025, at Limestone Nursing & Rehab. She was born on February 22nd, 1938, to Eldon L. Nelson and Violet Hamilton Nelson.
Barbara is survived by her sister Carolyn Nelson; her sister-in-law Susan Nelson; aunt Sara Evans; and many other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Thomas Nelson, Edward Nelson, and James Nelson.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Steve Dorning officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Truett, Lynn Nelson, Lester Nelson, Larry Posey, Lee Posey, Jeremy Posey, and Josh Nelson. Burial will take place at Myers Cemetery.
Barbara was a retired federal employee and a member of Friendship Church North.
