Barbara Ann McGee, age 70 of Huntland, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 9, 1953, to the late Jesse Donald and Nancy Elaine (Bennett) Morris. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a supervisor for Toyota. Barbara enjoyed exploring and sightseeing, fishing, cooking, traveling, and watching the movie, Beaches. A natural storyteller, she had a wonderful sense of humor and was very caring, giving, and humble. She was devoted to her beloved family and was a second mom to her siblings. Barbara was a member of Church of God in Sewanee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob McGee; brother, Jessie Morris; and grandparents, Cecelia and Clarence Bennett, and William and Ethel Morris. Barbara is survived by her siblings, Thomas Morris, Donna Mounts, Betty Hehn, Fred Morris, Sharon Turner, and Elaine Lambert; beloved dogs, Bandit and Bella; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Maxwell Cemetery.
